Turet fort
The time of Byzantine left, according to a lot of people, the most imposing building today in Kornati: Turet fort on the island of Kornat (architecture of late Antique and early Middle Ages – probably 6th century). It is assumed that the fort had a military purpose to secure and control sailing on the Adriatic Sea which was quite insecure at the time.
From the fort you can enjoy the view of Kornati archipelago.
